Where you plan to go koala?
France, thats where my wife is from.

taxes are only slightly higher than here, but you actually get stuff out of it, unlike here where i just pay taxes to support poor mooches.

or the Philippines where i can buy my way out of anything and live like a king for $1500 a month.

Also:

No turbo or supercharged or V8 cars until you have held your license for three years. This also includes a list of 'restricted V6's' (G35, Porsche Boxster, SLK etc) Sounds nice, but here's the catch.

Not allowed to drive C200K Mercedes because it's supercharged. No driving V8 Landcruiser because it's a V8. Yet, still allowed S2000s, RX8's and 4.0L V6 locally made cars. Mindless blanket ban for the f__king lose.

No firearms w/o license
No Airsoft (completely illegal)
No paintball guns w/o license

I know it's nothing compared to China or any country like that, but for a place that PRIDES itself on liberalism, it's disgusting.

Not to mention, the highest bracket of tax in Australia is a whopping 45%, it would be okay if we got some decent returns, but alas nothing. Contemplating just bailing off to Switzerland (I love it there)

Why don't you guys vote or something? Maybe write a letter or two to your legislators expressing your wishes on proposed legislation? You live in a democracy but whine that "the gov't" is somehow acting all on it's own? Who put them there? Whining on an internet forum is fun and all, but it hardly solves the problem. If you want change you have to stop whining and crying and start acting.

Why in the world are you assuming that we haven't "acted"?

Yeah really. I've done tons to try to change things that I don't like & I always vote. This country is just going downhill.
