Here's a question: How do you know how hot to order the food? My local Indian place doesn't have a scale, so I will just say medium and deal with it. How do you best insure that you get the correct hotness?
i get it as hot as they can make it.

sometimes i have to suppliment it with a green chilli and onion salad.

Nice. I wished there was an Indian place near work here. They always seems to have the best food/dollar ratio. Especially the lunch buffets

I eat there all the time and they know me, but when I first started going there I would tell them native style. It's a Southern Indian place, and they like it hot, but so do I. They've only made me one dish that I felt was too hot for me, but I ate it anyway.

What's funny about this place is that it's called Vinny's (named after the owner's chosen western name). I thought it was an Italian place for a long time.

Greek pasta salad. Usually I like to make my own and add chicken, but I was too lazy and just bought it pre-made.

Yep, same here. The easiest bring to work lunch is to toss a bunch of salad into a container, add a some oil, then some pepperoni, then some cheese, then top the whole thing off with some ranch dressing! Seriously though, shake all that up and you got yourself a nice lunch
