ok i changed it...
ive wanted to get some ink with the same idea for a long time
but basically these are the wings of icarus. in greek mythology, he and his father were imprisioned in the labyrinth of knossos after his father had helped theseus defeat the minotaur.
basically his father made some wings with out of feathers and wax and they escaped the labyrinth. now icarus's father had warned him that if he flew too close to the sun his wings would melt, but his immaturity and arrogance got the best of him and he ended up falling into the sea and drowing.
this means something to me because i have been given a lot of opportunity in my life to make something great, but this is a reminder to stay humble and modest, and to keep learning so that i too dont destroy what i have been given.
good times.

Eagle, Globe, Anchor
The Marine emblem - Eagle, Globe and Anchor - symbolizes distant service under the American eagle by air, land and sea, representing our nation's interests "in every clime and place." The symbol was adopted in 1868 and is perhaps the most recognized insignia in the world.
