Are those authentic Japanese Katanas or did you order it from Black Belt Magazine?

Oh, also, don't kill anybody now.

When I was in high school I ran a technology review site like anandtech.com or hardocp.com that, for a couple months was getting a million+ hits a month, but for some idiotic reason I stopped doing that. I could have been way richer right now.. I still like technology, but not like before.

I'm a big fan of freedom, austrian economics and the US Constitution.

I also enjoy contributing to the (false) stereotype that all Ron Paul supporters smoke. I'm on a t-break right now though.

My job. (Everyday when I put my vest on I think. People hate me. People want me dead and are happy to see me die. I wear a vest in an effort to stop that. My goal is to come home at the end of every shift. Cherish life.)

^^^ I agree. And who is the first person most of them will call if something or someone does something to them or their property? You guessed it the POPO.
I agree, police should have a policy similar to, (I can't remember the city, but it was in WA) Where every year you had the option to pay an extra $100-200 to help the under-funded Fire department. You were supposed to pay it, but some people did not. If you didn't, they would not put out a fire in your house. They would show up and make sure that it didn't spread to your neighbors house, but they'd watch yours burn to the ground.

They should do the same thing with police. If you don't like them, you get a $50-100 state tax credit, and if you need help they just wont come. You'd still have to obey other laws that are in place to keep you from endangering other people, but for things that didn't bother other people, you'd be invisible to them. The only problem is that the overwhelming majority of cops are good enough people that they'd still come help you if you needed it. I will be the very first to admit that there are some people who shouldn't be police officers, but the attitude of so many that cops are all jerks is so troubling to me.

And to Sh*t all over a guy who Served his country both in the military, and now his community as a LEO, I say WTF is wrong with you guys?! If people sent half the energy they use to sh*t on cops to write a letter to their Congress man/woman maybe there would be some actual change. It's like yelling at your mail man because a package shipped to you from across the country got damaged. (I doubt that he was the one who caused the problem.

And to stay on topic, I love racing.

Recently I got to drive a Thunder Roadster, and have been obsessing over those a little bit.

For the money, there isn't much that beats them around a track. 1500lbs, 130hp 1250cc motor that spins north of 10,000rpm, sequential 5-speed gear box, and on track where the straights are not too long, will run times similar to a Factory five Cobra, in other words much faster than say a spec Miata, or stock powered S2k. They will get beat by something like a formula Mazda, but they also cost about a third aas much.

I also like working on cars, and in December got to be a mechanic on the 949racing/supermiata team at the 25 hours of Thunderhill, where we took 1st and third in class (E2) and beat all of the cars in E0,1,2,3. The only class that had cars finish above us was the ES class. The winner of this class, and the race was a GT3 cup car lead by they crew chief of the Flying Lizard Porsche factory team, (so essentially porsche factory team). It was also our teams first ever T25, and we were repeatedly told that winning our first time out was something to be proud of. I am very much looking forward to going back next year, from what I hear, potentially with more cars...

4 of the katanas are hand-made. None are antique (I wish). 1 is a Paul Chen, another is a Masahiro and the others I'm not sure. And don't worry, don't plan on killing anybody unless they mess with my S.....

It is an 1877. Not sure if the numbers are matching (I'll check when I get out of work) and don't have the needle gun.

I made my passion a career, so I can't say it's still a passion, lol. One day I will get back to a single engine airplane and re-discover the love of flying, but for now it's business as usual
