What's The Aarp?
Ok, I keep getting these things in the mail from the AARP, asking me to join their organization, and what the fee's are and benefits and what not. But NO WHERE, ANYWHERE in their mailer does it explain to me exactly WHAT the AARP is or what "AARP" stands for. I'm thinking, how in the heck do they expect me to even consider joining if they dont' even tell me ANYWHERE who or what they are?
the AARP is something like the Association for the Advancement of Retired People or something like that. They lobby and offer benefits for retired people. My Mom retired a couple of years ago and she keeps getting that stuff too.

It offers retirement investment options (IRA's and such) as well.
(don't laugh, I'm a member and I'm only 31----No I'm not retired )
