This is getting stupid. Why are they showing the footage of the beheading like it is some kind of a freak show? Is this becoming some sort of a fad for the Muslim extremist? Why do we care what kind of method they used to terrorize the public? Getting blown up by airplanes or die from getting your head chopped off, what difference does it make? Hostages will die in the end. These f...kers don't have any sense of compassion then why are we giving them this kind of attention? Stupid news media

The way the leaders have set it up all westernized or westernizing nations are at risk and at war with these kinds of people. It is a holy war and we have now gotten in the middle. Something we shouldn't of done. When I was in Kyrgyzstan the Muslims I ran into hated me for what I stood for not who I am. Very scary. The sad part is that this was not the majority talking. It was a handful of people I ran into there. The majority of the people were kind caring and just like the rest of us but the few try and do things like beheading to get the attention and that is just what we give them.

 

The beheadings are not for our benefit, but theirs. It gets them all riled up and they (extremists) start cheering for more of it like it's a Lakers game.

All that happens over here is people get shocked and eventually something else shiny pops up to distract the masses.

It sorta puts the Abu Ghraib scandal (it certainly is) and the BAF people wringing their hands saying "torture" in proper perspective doesn't it?

 

Of all the ways to die, I can't think of anything much more terrible than death by beheading.

 

Shock value.

The method of killing and the resulting coverage is a tool and the intent of the terrorist. The media plays into their hand. We play into it by bringing it to people's attention here.

Even as we escalate the outrage against them we are fulfilling their purpose.

Of course its horrible and hard to ignore so I don't blame anyone for wanting some answers and solutions.

 

my mother and i were talking about this the other day. personally i feel it is a cowardly act of shame on the killers. to take another life for no reason at all, just to justify excitment and prove you will do it is wrong. these people do not deserve to die, but they should at least be given the ability to fight their way out. my prayers go out to them, innocent victims of war that should still be alive.

 

with everyone.. I think we have all been a little de-sensitized by violence, but I couldn't even stomach watching the beheading tapes that have been circulating..

There are probably worse ways to die, I mean you can torcher a person in a million different ways, but be-heading is really up there, what a world we live in

 

do you see the way they behead the person. It's not even with a very sharp knife. talk about painful. you can feel everything, and watch your head fall back and slowly die.

I wish them, the terroists, a long and painful death when we catch them.

However... I'd rather know what's going on in the war than left wondering... Media is good... other countries are well aware of what's going on, and take our side. Just imagine being beheaded.
