I've been seeing, with no small horror, younger kids wearing polo shirts raising their collar. The nightmare of 20 years ago is surfacing again, what can we do to stop it?

I saw a couple of kids with their collars up tonight and I was tempted to turn mine up once again. But I couldn't do the whole Fonzy thing since I didn't have my black leather jacket on, so I passed. Besides I didn't have a pack of cigarets to roll in my shirt sleeve either. Since I'm old enough to be their grandfather, I'll bet that would have freaked them out.

Maybe next time.

PS...we used to do this in the late 1950's, early 1960's when I was in high school.

If you haven't noticed, we always look back 20 years. In the 90's disco music made a come back, in the 80's Nam films and oldies but goodie radio stations were in vouge. I'm just pointing out specifics, but it's much more than just these few examples.

I pretty much have always popped the collar on my polos. Ever since seeing "Better Off Dead," I've done it. Lane Meyer was the coolest guy on earth.
