yeah, whenever i had friends over as a kid i never knew if i should explain or just pretend like it wasn't anything (which it wasn't) when my parents were on the phone talking. but who knows what my friends thought haha. anyone who knows chinese knows you repeat a lot...so when you hear "那個那個那個..."* it definitely can sound racist to someone who doesn't speak chinese haha.
