This is a car related question, but not s2k related so I'm putting this in off topic. If this is in the wrong forum, Mods please move it to the proper one.

I have a 96 prelude and I bought 2 new tires for the front today. When I put the rim back on the car, it wouldn't set right. I dont know what's wrong with it, it seems like something is obstructing it from seating properly. I have a 4 lug pattern, and I was able to get 3 of them to get in good but 1 of em has like a millimeter gap between the rim and where the screw is coming out of. This is also preventing me from putting on the 4th nut.

What could be wrong with it? Also, is it safe to roll with only 3 nuts on, or would this cause my tire to wobble?

***Dont know the proper terms for some of those parts, so sorry if it's hard to understand***

Thanks,
Jose

Loosen them all up and try reseating them. Don't tighten them all the way down at first and then go to the next nut. Instead, hand tighten the first one, then the second, third, etc. Then hand tighten them all with the lug wrench, then torque them to spec. Also, if you have aftermarket wheels that require hubcentric rings, make sure the ring is seated properly within the wheel.

I hand tightened them all before using the wrench. I had to go to class and didn't want to leave the car lifted ononly one jack so I tightened em up and lowered the car. I'll check to see if they have that ring you're talking about.

Thanks.
