Default What's your experience with personal financing

I recently posted my car on Craigslist and have received a number of calls from people looking to take over my payments but I would retain ownership of the car. Due to the amount of inquiries I'm naturally suspicious, but I want to sell the car so I'm looking for some feedback. Does anyone have experience with this?

That's a terrible idea, opening you up for all sorts of scams and trouble.

Wow. Sounds like a candidate for Worst Idea Of The Century, if there was such a competition.

Please send me a check for $123,823 for the cost of $3,000 of shipping. I will return the other $120,823 once the item has arrived.

Lease take-overs are done with the blessing of the dealership/financing company and once done, remove you from the equation.

If you have financed your car, you pay off the loan balance in it's entirety, sell it and pocket the difference (or take the loss if you were underwater on it).

I'm a little confused.
the OP wants another person to pay for his car and at the same time wants to keep it? Why would someone do that?
