What's Your Favorite Type of Asian Cuisine?
Originally I was going to ask "What's your favorite type of cuisine?", but I realized that the choices would either be too broad (Meditteranean: Moroccan, Lebanese, Greek, Italian, . . .; European: German, Norwegian, Portuguese, . . .) or there would be way too many choices. So I narrowed it to Asian because there are so many I like. I wasn't sure whether to include Indian, but finally decided that it is more closely related to Middle Eastern cuisines than Asian.
Anyway, Japanese gets my vote.

go to rowland heights and diamond bar, you'll see plenty of good chinese restaurants. zhejiang cuisine, northern chinese cuisine, and (not as good as Hong Kong's, i'll admit) dim sum. they're as true as it can get without going to Taiwan or Hong Kong.alhambra's got the best schechuan family restaurant this side of the pacific ocean.
the best chinese food (family style and imperial style) can be had in Taiwan and Hong Kong, no doubt - the red chinese killed off just about all the good traditional chefs. there are only 3 families in china that can do the full manchurian/mandarin imperial dinner. just remember that imperial style dinners are TOTALLY different from the family style where rice or noodles are the basis of the cuisine.
