I think this is totally ridiculous that they're prosecuting a guy who did not provide the alcohol, did not drive the car, nor being present at the time of the accident! Talk about a stretch of legal boundaries, this is sad, IMO.

As if he doesn't feel bad enough already...
Sounds ridiculous to me, but coffee at McDonalds isn't supposed to be hot.

Every day I see something like this that makes me sure that we are truly a nation of idiots. If this guy gets convicted there is no hope for any of us.

WTF?! Why didn't the judge just through out the case? I can't believe this is a criminal case. I think the prosecuter should go to jail on this one.

This case is not only ridiculous, but scary. I can't believe they are so desperate to punish a living person that they dreamed up this totally ridiculous charge. There's no way they would have tried this guy on these charges if the drunk driver hadn't died, but since he did they just HAVE to find someone to pay for this. Why don't they try the judge who released the guy from jail where he was at for drunk driving charges? If he had not been let out of jail then this would have never happened so he's ultimately responsible using their logic.

The US legal system is becoming more and more of a joke every year. How sad.

Police had released Pangle to Powell, who took Pangle back to his car. Powell went home and prosecutors say Pangle drank some more before driving again.
The fact that Pangle drank more after getting arrested for drunk driving (hello, moron?) would be enough to convince me that Powell was not directly at fault. Pangle clearly had some issues.

We are truly a nation where no one has personal responsibility for anything anymore! It is really sad.
