Now, these drug lords and big-time drug dealers deserve death, not someone who's committed a larceny (referring to the Marine's killing of a car thief). Every punishment must fit the crime, and death certainly does not fit larceny (not a violent robbery, but larceny/theft - huge difference). If someone commits larceny, we'd take away his/her livelihood for a period of time but we do not permanently take away his/her life. We live in a civilized society, not an Amazon jungle. We are not a bunch of uncivilized barbarians. In such a civilized society, there are rules, laws, morals, and conscience to abide by; we don't kill or avenge by vigilante violence. Homicide is only justifiable in self-defense; if someone tries to take away your materialistic property, there are rules, laws, and procedures to follow, lest we become a society of barbaric sub-humans.
