Now, these drug lords and big-time drug dealers deserve death,
death certainly does not fit larceny
We live in a civilized society,
Homicide is only justifiable in self-defense;

Note to self: start dealing drugs to become a drug lord.
That's more money than I can count or care to.

Supply and Demand.
Without the United States consumption the drug lords would be greatly diminished. The funny part from doing research is that Mexico has nowhere near our drug problem. Drugs are not very popular in that country. Yet without drugs our prison base would shrink and as a example our school furniture industry would be hard hit. Convicts make our school furniture for the most part, among other legal slave labor products. Can't get Asians to work as cheaply as you can paying a convict $0.80 a day in prisons.
The giant stack of bills was found at the house of a Chink in Mexico who supplied raw components to create drugs, not a drug lord.
Think of how much cash was pocketed by law enforcement as that bust was made.
