When the zombies come: What would you take?

According to the game Left-4-Dead, the shotty would be ideal over the assault rifle. Those zombies are QUICK. You'll have no time to shoot them down before they're in your face. If we're living in the Resident Evil world of slow zombies though, the assault rifle would be the top pick.
