I go to shooting range over the weekend with my buddies. Mostly shot guns, hand guns or AR15. I want to get this AK to shoot.
Maybe you can give me some advice then. I want to get into range shooting, haven't shot a gun in years, and don't know much about hand guns. Where should I go for info on this subject? Thanks!

Mr clean you should goto a local indoor shooting range, most of them have glocks(due to their reliability and idiot proof) for rent or maybe other pistols.

evo
clicky clicky thats for the ak's they have some awesome stuff.
for the glocks
the best glock distributor

you could also try
ebay type gun sales gunbroker.com

i have a couple of glocks
22,27 both .40cal

S&W Sigma 3rd gen, not that its any better than the 2nd gen, but i've never had a problem with, others have had it jam on them. Personally its a different trigger pull. not a bad gun.

savage 116 bolt action rifle .338 winmag. its my elephant killer
I used to carry one of my handguns in the car but I freaked out when a hobo came up to the car with the top down at 3am and I almost shot him, so I dont carry any more. My new thing to carry in the carry are those ASP expandable batons. right behind the seat between the edge of the seat and the glove box.

if you have any other questions just post

Ragingazn,

Thanks for the links and help. I got suggestion from another s2ki member and I went with these guys. www.impactguns.com

http://www.impactguns.com/store/RI1197-N.html

They told me they were going to match the competitor's price and also gave me great customer service over the phone. Now all I hav to do is stop by the local gun shop to finish up the Transfer paper work. So they can ship the gun over there. I should be getting it in one week.

Mr. Clean,

I also own a Glock 21. Its all of my experiences from shooting at my local range. So far, out of all of the guns I shot, I like the H&K 9mm, .40 , Glock 19 and Glock 17. These are some of the reliable guns and they were very accurate. Price for the Glock is really reasonable on the market. There's also these Springfield XD on the market that I have seen at every single local gun shop. They are like a cheaper version of the Glock. They are great for shooting in range also.

If you planning on carrying a handgun. Check this site for your state law.

I have had a Glock 22, Glock 27, and 3 different Glock 23's. My favorite is the 23. All were excellent, however the 23 seemed to be the best comprimise of size and capacity and accuracy. One of the three 23's would put a magazine into one ragged hole at 20 meters. My custom Colt Government Model that was over a grand wouldn't even do that (match grade barrel, trigger, Novak sights, Wilson Combat everything, etc.)

The Glock is the BEST pistol ever manufactured to be shot in my opinion (and I've owned and shot just about all of them). I read a torture test of over half a million rounds put through a Glock 19 without a failure. I've put thousands through the ones I had (sometimes extreme service enviornments), and never experienced so much as a hiccup. For defense or just fun shootin' and plinkin', nothing beats a Glock.
