I have had a Glock 22, Glock 27, and 3 different Glock 23's. My favorite is the 23. All were excellent, however the 23 seemed to be the best comprimise of size and capacity and accuracy. One of the three 23's would put a magazine into one ragged hole at 20 meters. My custom Colt Government Model that was over a grand wouldn't even do that (match grade barrel, trigger, Novak sights, Wilson Combat everything, etc.)
The Glock is the BEST pistol ever manufactured to be shot in my opinion (and I've owned and shot just about all of them). I read a torture test of over half a million rounds put through a Glock 19 without a failure. I've put thousands through the ones I had (sometimes extreme service enviornments), and never experienced so much as a hiccup. For defense or just fun shootin' and plinkin', nothing beats a Glock.

I have to disagree. I bought a Glock 23 to compare against my HK USP-C .40 and I found that I really dislike the 23. They're equivalent in size and yet the Glock had noticeably more recoil.
Edit: There are other Glocks I like but the 23 just wasn't for me.

Here's a good argument I found online. Of the two of the most popular Gun. I have Never shot a Glock 23. I have shot all of the other glock 9mm and .45. But I have shot a friend's H&K .40. And I loved it. It felt great. So I would have no problem picking the H&K .40.
But most people don't own .40. Due to expensive ammo and a few other small reason. Most people like to ccw with 9mm and use them for range gun. Here's a good discussion. Sorry, I'm Globk bias.

Awesome!! AK-47...the preferred weapon of choice to kill your son's high school football coach
. Go git it!!
A post like that is like saying, a s2000 is a perfect road rage weapon. Just because one guy drove wreckless. It is a weapon. But also a weapon many have and use as range shooting. Its the responsibility of the parent to control and educate their kid. If this kid didn't use the AK47, he would of find a way to make a bomb from the internet. Then he would have killed more.
Yeah, it definitely depends on hand size and personal preference. Some may find the double stack Glock much more comfortable than the 1.5 stack HK.
Also, have you checked www.gunsamerica.com and www.gunbroker.com ?

My local gun shop just called me. "Sir, we have your Romanian AK here. Please bring in 3 forms of ID so we can start your paper works. It will only take 20 mins."
I'll post pix later.
