Default Where to find a CRX w/ ITR conversion?

(Hey CG) I was thinking about running the one lap of america, and thought an ideal "ecomomy class" car would be a 1984-1987ish type R engined CRX.. 1700lbs and 200hp....
Anyone know where to look to find one already done? I am not nearly smart enough to figure out how to do this on my own.

Anyone know if the weight of a 1988 HF is as light as the 1984 CRX's?

Thanks - Scot (i will have the megabusa, but i don't think 1000lbs of car is ideal for 5400miles of driving!)

damn dude, I just picked up an 89 CRX for the same purpose. To drop a bigger engine in it after I teach my fiancee how to drive stick. Anybody know what is required in the transfer? Beyond the engine, ECU, mounts and tranny.

You bring that sweet little thing down here and I will teach her how to drive a real stick!

I was sort of hoping to buy someone elses finished project for way cheap.

Scot

If you are serious you may want to try Scott at King. I'm sure he could give you some good leads or even build the car for you.

Hypothetical question Scot.
If I bought the basic CRX and shipped it to Scott at King would you pay for the rest?
