Where should I go in Europe for vacation?

I personally like Munich...It's got that Bavarian Old World feel to it. It is a fun city no matter what you want to do...It probably isn't the best time of year to go to Europe for the most part.

A few years ago, I went to Pamplona for the running of the bulls. I would recommend that to anyone.

why do you say it is not the best time to go, just the weather? I wanted to go now because prices were so low. I found round trip airfare to London for $240 and some killer hotel deals to go with it.

Weather is definitely a factor this time of year. A second issue would be with the exchange rate. The dollar has been so weak against the British Pound and Euro that things might get a little pricey once you are there.

A lot of airlines have dropped their pricing so you can get some sweet deals on flights but you will get dinged in other places once you get there. I travel to Europe once year or two but recently, I have decided to go elsewhere due to the exchange rate. I do have to say that Pamplona during the running has by far been the most expensive place to go in Europe...

Munich and rest of Bavaria/Southern Germany. The Alps in Bavaria offer some fantastic scenery, great outdoorsy/hiking type things, and cool historical sights too. Bad Reichenhall is very close to Berchtesgaden, where Hitler's "Eagles Nest" is located. The Dachau prison camp is nearby as well. Koenigsee is a very cool mountain lake that you can hike around, and you can take a boat ride out to a spot where a trumpet note echoes like 7 times off the walls of the mountains around you. You're also only a few miles from Austria. Oh, and you won't believe the fantastic selection of very tasty beers. Many of the towns down there have their own weissbier breweries. The Weihenstephaner brewery is the oldest brewmeister academy in Europe, IIRC. Anyway, here's a few pics...
