Just learned that "Spa" apparently comes from Beligum Formula 1 race course.

Track view - click on "The Track" on left.

Girls from Spa click on "Gallery Photos" on left side and then "2000 season".

Gearing and speed (190mph top) for track click on map to make larger:

Is "spa yellow" named after this course? Enjoy

Yep, on both counts (course name and yellow being Belgium's national auto racing color).

BTW, if you've never seen the Belgium F1 race, you've missed one of the coolest tracks they run on. The corner named Eau Rouge is fantastic, they fly through it flat out and watching them take it at the speed they do it just looks as if there is no way on earth they should be staying on the track.

Yes, that's where they get the name for Spa Yellow. Every color on the S2000 is named after a racetrack.

Except, perhaps, for New Formula Red.

Hmm, we have Ascari Red in the UK...named after the late, great Alberto Ascari twice Grand Prix World Champion.

Also Berlina Black after the famous design house

I guess Honda are naming the colours with inspiration from famous names in racing history.

BTW Suzuka blue is to be known as Nurburgring Blue in Europe.
