Frollo: [as Quasimodo towers over him] Now, now... L-Listen to me, Quasimodo...
Quasimodo: [heaving in gasping breaths] No, *you* listen! All my life, you have told me that the world is a dark, cruel place. But now I see that the only thing dark and cruel about it is people like you...

Have not been to Paris yet but in Rome we booked some place that looked ok but was just a general flop house. We did not care. You will not be in the room much at all because just being out in the european cities is so cool. Anywhere near the center should be great.

Have fun.

Not sure about the hotel itslef, but the area is not bad. I have walked there at midnight with my wife and kids without problems
Avoid the north part of Paris getting close to the peripherique and anything north of it.
Also ignore all the gypsies selling crap close to the Eiffel tower, just keep walking when you see them coming towards you.
