I'm very pleasantly surprised by the number of logical and intelligent replies to this thread.
I have plenty of online discussions that have been ruined by religous extremist morons who lack the ability to think for themselves and arrive at their own conclusions.

I'm surprised the thread has got as far as it has to be honest, without being interrupted by someone who holds more belief in an after-life, but I really don't think it adds anything to antagonize the sincerely held views of others.

Something else interesting I've found in my search for answers to these type of things is the simple fact that we are questioning beings. Simply put, if we had all the answers to all the questions we'd still question, this is the key to understanding that the physical answers aren't what most of us "searchers" are really searching for, it's the feeling behind the answer. Unfortunately, fellings will never be able to be handled as simply as words and concepts (abstract or no), so the search continues for as long as we live.
