WHITE SMOKE.. BELLS RINGING
I read a little about him, and he was a Nazi soldier, but upon the end of the war, he went to a seminary. I guess he had no choice in becoming a Nazi soldier at the time, but still...I wonder if he'd killed anyone back then.
He's so old. Just a few more years and they'll be choosing a new one.
Oh, and HELLO to bringing the world a few more steps back in time, this 'new' pope will cause even more regression due to his extreme views on things.
Oh dear...

This Pope has written that salvation only comes through the catholic church. That means he will lead the church to believe and teach that all other religious people, including Protestants, are unworthy of salvation.

Another one of those historic days that you will always remember where you were at when you first heard the news for the rest of your life.
I don't remember where I was when president's Reagen, Bush, Clinton, Bush or Bush were elected, but I remember where I was when I heard Boston won the world series, and when I heard about 911, and when I heard about the tsunami. I guess I only remember the bad stuff...
I work very close to the cathedral here in St. Paul. WHen I went for lunch the church bells were ringing like I have never heard them before. I found it quite lovely. God Bless the new Pope, and ummmmmmmmm please forget about that pope joke thread I started a while back.
Dude,
Don't you find the doctrine of exclusion to be destructive, polarising and, well...archaic? That doctrine will have a profound impact on the relationships of catholics and people of other religions.
If you would stop thinking selfishly that all you have to do is stick your head in the sand, you might understand the severity of this doctrine.
