if i saw say, brad pitt on the side walk, im like eh. if i see dave grohl(long time nirvana and foo fan) on the side walk, im all giddly like a 12 yrd girl.

actors and such, are "exciting" to me

I would rather be a musician. Like Bon Jovi's Keyboardist. You get mostly everything Bon Jovi does (sloppy seconds) but without the fame headache.

Pop star is another story.

It should be Brittany vs. Jolie for a fairer comparison.

I think most of the "hype" would lean towards actors/actresses. Some people are more gossip oriented where to some people, music is their lives...but if, like you said, there was a musician and an actor/actress walking down the street, I think the actor/actress would get the publicity. Actors get more press anyway.

 

A lot of people in America have a larger tendency to be more partial to our favorite musicians. However, around the World everyone knows who Julia Roberts is, but not Dave Grohl. Everyone knows who Brad Pitt is, not everyone knows who Kanye is. Everyone could recognize Tom Hanks, not everyone could recognize Hannah Montana.
