Claritin IS an over the counter drug in Canada. I used it for years until they made "Reactine" over the counter (it had been Rx only.

Reactine is awesome and I used it for about 3 years before moving to the states. They don't have Reactine here so I was pretty bummed and started "importing" it. Then I found out it's sold as Zyrtec here. Yeah the one on the TV ads. Of course it's Rx only so I still import Reactine.

I've had Hayfever forever. The West coast really gets me bad. The East coast doesn't really affect me at all. So I'm lucky that I get to spend these next few months out in the East coast for work. I try to stay away from using medication. The best defense for me is to stay away from freshly cut grass and in general plants in bloom.

It's funny though, my eyes do get blood shot a lot and people always wonder if I've been using any substances. (I don't) I also know a friend who has hayfever and likes to smoke weed. His dad always thinks his eyes are blood shot because of alergies.
