I just bought a 2000 yellow Malibu boat. 310hp and a low profile. It has a wakeboard tower and fat sacs for increased weight. That's my love-wakeboarding (it's a lot like Mastercract, etc.)Good Luck Brandon

Not snobbish at all - short and sweet! Think I'll keep the boat at a local lake - 25 minutes - so I can enjoy both toys!

bjechols - just started wakeboarding - once I got up it seemed quite intrinsic - probably snowboarding helped! Look forward to getting much better. My last boat would stall while trying to launch - swam A LOT last summer with a wakeboard strapped to my feet! This one should be much better.

Humanatek - I WILL get a chance to test drive before signing - and found out that even tha marinas here in Colorado - was at one in Denver - are willing to put a water test on the contract - and willing to road trip for 300 miles if I wanted to this coming weeekend. Thanks for the suggestion - I had no idea. Wonder if I could have test drove my S...

My girlfriends parents have a Cobalt. That thing is a machine. It has the I/O Volvo motor, not sure of the HP but it does 55-60MPH like nothing. Sooooooo smoooooth. But you're paying for the leather and the guages, trim, etc. too.

Just remember, the two best days of your boat ownership: The day you buy the boat and the day you manage to get rid of it. Am I cynical, or what?

S2kSkibum,

I purchased a 2001 Cobalt 226 (bowrider) in August. I love it!! Very well made. Their service is great. I even got a Christmas present from them. I puchased it like a car, I waited until the 2002 were at their door. I saved $10K from it's original price. My 226 has a Mercruiser 5.7 EFI, rated @ 260HP. Plenty of power to pull 2 skiers. At WOT I hit 45 MPH.

Good Luck!!

I own a SeaRay 200 BR circa 1991 (http://searay.com/products/model.asp?p=200...y=1&model=200BR). I have been very happy with the reliability, durability and performance of this brand.

I think the SeaRay 200 or 210 BR is comparable with the Correct Craft Sport Nautique at $5-10K less money. Its not a cheap boat, but worth the money in my opinion.

A nice Grady White would do for me. Fishing fanatic here . I have wakeboarded behind a malibu before, and would not mind one of those to make a nice complement to my GW. They have a great wake for wakeboarding/kneeboarding and enough power to barefoot. Hell, I just love boats, but I would have to agree Bayliners are the biggest POS boats out there. Anyone ever had a GOOD experience with Force outboards that they used to put on those things? I used to work up at a summer camp on Kerr Lake, and those things were always being towed in or cussed at.

Fluorescin : love to fish to - if I lived closer to the coast, I'd have to have two boats. Took a Contender 32 from Nassau back to Ft. Lauderdale last Feb for a week with some friends. LOTS of wahoo, lots of fun stuff on an eight weight fly rod - including casting to and catching 3 foot sharks while wading - not so smart! Finished the trip with a 175 - 200 pd marlin in the gulf stream! Contenders kick butt - twin 250 outboards, lots of room, etc. Some day...
