I own a 1999 Donzi Z22 with a cuddy cabin, with 5.7L Merc EFI (260HP).

I can hit 50 MPH, which on the water feels like 80-90 on land. I bought it with my signing bonus while I was still in college. It was a great having it last summer before work started in July. Of course now that I am working 80 hours a week I am considering selling it before the season. I am asking for $25k, others on market are $+27k, $40k+ new, if any one is interested send me a PM.

WOW, I guess I have not been keeping up on my favorite boat. My parents have owned four Sea Rays there has NEVER been a problem. They currently have a 1989, 230, white w/ red cutty with a big block. And because we still love its timeless lines they have not looked in to trading up yet. I guess I need to do some reading!!

I too am really surprised by the bad review of SeaRay boats. I love my 1991, 200BR, and I have several friends who also own them.

I have heard that the 28-32' sport cruisers are not competitive since they often only come with 1 engine; 2 small V-8's are much better. However, I visit the Fort Worth (this month) and the Dallas (in February) each year and always drool over the new models.

Regards,

Al

I may be wrong - most people LOVE their Sea Rays - ...

All boats appear to be components - and maybe a component got them in trouble. I (after having gone through the exhaustive process of research and design), can't quote a source. Best I say I errorred. Sorrry to offend any Sea Ray owners. I have heard they are great boats...
