Who Taught You To Drive Stick???
Me, myself, and I. My 1959 Opel Rekord had an electropneumatic clutch that was operated by the shift lever, there was no clutch pedal on the floor. When you touched the column mounted shift lever you heard a hissing noise and the clutch was engaged. You then were able to shift to the next gear. (there were only 3) When you released the lever the transmission was in gear. My next car had a conventional clutch/transmission still a 3 speed on the column for a 1963 Ford Galaxie Custom 500.
Myself with the help of my mum.
Later, when I took my defensive driving course to reduce my appalling insurance rates at the age of 16, I spent my hands on, practical training behind the wheel of a 1983 Tercel with a manual transmission.
