Why am I fascinated by "Hoarders?"
So I watch a lot of A&E because my wife and I like "First 48", a show that follows around real homicide detectives solving real murder cases. (anybody ever notice how all the guilty suspects put their arms into their shirts for some reason?)
Then you just happen to have it on the same channel and it bleeds into "Intervention" and dealing with helping others with addicition problems. (which I am fascinated by)
Now you got "Hoarders" about people with compulsive hoarding behavior. I can't stop watching these trainwrecks and marveling at their garbage piles. One guy last night had 2500 pet rats running loose in his house and destroying and pooping on EVERYTHING. The next one had a woman who was a perfectly normal looking registered nurse with pile of garbage filling an entire home practically to the ceiling, a fridge full of rotten food, and her young kids sleeping in about two square foot areas that were actually free of garbage and this woman thought it was totally normal.
Every house is full of dead animals and poop and these people just kind of shrug it off. One of the first ones I saw a woman was crapping into little baggies and storing them in a pile and when they cleaned out her house they removed two tons of baggies.
Its a total train wreck and I can't look away. Please tell me someone else can't look away either.
Now they are putting a show on called "Heavy" whwere they will profile people weighing about 400 bills and try to help them lose weight. It is like the Arts and Entertainment network needs to be changed to "The Human Misery Channel"

I am fascinated myself....but it's people like that that support shows like American Pickers.
I want to know what it would be like to be a hoarder and watch my house burn down with all my stuff in it...I know that sounds really bad.....

When he was coming out of the house carrying this huge box he had this grossed out look on his face and he whispered "It is soaked in cat pee" as he passed me at the doorway.
All we watch at my household is A&E... Hoarders, DOG, Pawn stars (I think that's the history channel) yadda, yadda...
It sucks cause on Saturdays I can never get anything done.
Did you see the lady with the dead cat under her couch? It was totally stiff
She was like "Oh I was wondering where kiki went"
