Why am I fascinated by "Hoarders?"

I've watched it a few times. I just consider myself lucky that I, or any of my family do not have any problems like that. Pretty nasty.

I am sort of fascinated my the show Oddities. There are some crazy weird people on that show.

Death before "reality" shows. BTW, there is no such thing as a "reality" show, they're all contrived, no matter how real you think they are.

The biggest hypocrisy on TV right now is the Tru TV Network. Total scripted BS.

I watch some of them, but I really wanted to throw my controller through my TV when I see a commercial for "Southern Fried Stings"

I don't watch Hoarders much anymore, just because, but I do agree it puts life into perspective and that me and my family are pretty lucky to not have any problems like that.

It always reminds me of an older guy and his wife who lived a block from the food store I worked at in HS and College. I can still remember there only Plymouth wagon so loaded up with shit in the back seat and trunk that the rear almost touched the ground. They would always be riding around. Well there house caught on fire and they both died because there was so much paper and trash that they couldn't get out.

I do like watching Intervention and betting with my fiance if the addict is going to make it or not.

I have been watching alot of Pawn Stars, American Pickers, Auction Kings, and Storage Wars.

Ironic that situational comedies are like real life, but reality tv is so situational.

I doubt you'd say that about First 48. Some of the cops mug for the cameras, and they have scripted narration, but I doubt the people volunteer to end up dead or be the suspects.

As far as the other kind of reality shows where it is a bunch of wanna be stars acting like retards and fighting with each other, yes "Death before reality shows" sums up my feeling as well.
