Yellow, I am aware of c3's point of view but don't follow his logic. I would suggest that because one's opinions are not shared by others in the world, this is PRECISELY why they should be viewed by others in this forum. IMO, open, civil discussion of alternate points of view can only result in understanding if not acceptance of other ideas. That being said, I will obey the rules. BTW, the caps are not yelling- I wanted to stress that word & didn't know how else to do it. This is an excellent website. Charly

OK, here's my take on it: it's not car-related and it was making the administrators and moderators jobs much harder because of all of the flaming, squabbling and name calling. Based on that, I don't find any fault with them killing the topic. Not one political discussion that I can remember went without some kind of argument, so it's better off being a taboo topic.

Also, we're an international board, so it's probably better not to mire it up with American politics, which a lot of people don't want to deal with in the first place.
