aside from the common horn dog cliche, i think most married men wish to stay faithful. this isn't to absolve men from responsibility, but what ive seen, it usually goes like this:

the honeymoon phase ends
wife starts to be critical/nag about bunch of stuff
man tries to work it out, but usually isn't what the woman had in mind
more frustration
female coworker or secretary at work is nice and listens or at least doesn't nag
dude cheats

cycle can begin again if hookup with coworker is made permanent.

agree or disagree?
I think it's the same for men or women. Honeymoon phase ends, one person in the marriage feels like their needs aren't being met. That person tries to work on things, but feels like they aren't getting the response they want, so they look elsewhere for what they're missing. I'm guessing there's a small percentage of married people who cheat simply for the "thrill" of it, but for the most part, people go outside their marriage because they feel like they're missing something.

It's the testosterone and nature.

We are civilized and so shouldn't cheat based on our social structure, but it's not natural for us.
As with any animal, the males job is to spread his seed to guarantee survial of the species. We have only been civilized a small blip on our evolutionary timeline. It's hard to control millions of years of history

men use love to get sex, women use sex to get love.

what does this have to do you say?

woman no give sex, men dont give love.

lets face it sex is a must on most if not all marriage.

you can argue as much as you want but SEX will be SEX and one way or another males will find a way to "release" their need, its just unfortunate that if your married and get it from another female but hey thats life.

Men cheat because god gave men two heads, but sadly, only enough blood to run one at a time.

Honestly, I think 99% of men only cheat when sex is boring/missing. Most guys will just jump ship if they have real feelings for another woman. It's when they love someone who isn't meeting physical needs that cheating happens. Basically girls, if you think your guy might start cheating, go buy a school girl costume and furry handcuffs. If you keep sex interesting, the guy isn't going to cheat and lie. He's either going to stay faithful or leave because of true feelings for another.

Personally I have never cheated. It's just not in me to do that to someone. However, I do know tons of guys that have and continue to do so. Even some old bastards. Its heartless. Honestly, its not that hard to control yourself.
i beg to differ.

WINNER!!!!

Marriage and single partner for life scenarios are a result of moral doctrine mostly derived from religion. It is very very rare in nature to see pairs mate for life.

Our purpose on this planet is to procreate and further the species. Just like every other ANIMAL on the planet.

If you think about it most of our "Natural" urges are supressed by laws which are derived from moral objectives. Animals kill and are killed, they rob, cheat and steal and they propogate with just about any female they either show dominance over or who fancies their courtship ritual. Why are we any different??

I am not saying it would be a good idea to be law-less or moral-less but from a nature perspective, we are totally repressed and penned up. Is there any wonder why people "snap" and commit heinious crimes against others?

BTW
<----married and happy

I am not saying I am a hipocrite , just concious enough to know that there is some explaination for our wants/needs/actions
exactly!
