I think you guys are missing something here. I don't think anyone cares about 'trying' OBL, I think the general consensus is that we'd much rather bury him than try him.

A fair trial is one of the reasons America is a civilized nation. You can take away the right to a fair trial, but that would only bring us down to the level of China, the Taliban, etc.

I think of this as a military problem rather than a judicial problem. It requires the lawful authorization of the use of deadly force - then find the terrorists, their supporters, aiders and abettors, and send them to the paradise they have earned.

 

Query - why not give the Talaban our evidence.

Answer - the law does not require useless acts. The law is not an ass.

 

I would like to see OBL and his cohorts tied to stakes at ground zero and allow the public to throw rocks and debris at them for $10 a toss and pay off the national debt in short order. We need to make something positive of this.
