Not that there is anything wrong with that.

Gay doesn't generally have to be used in reference to fags and faggits. Gay is a happy term. Like Mary Poppins is gay, and good for her!
Obviously when people are using the word as an insult that's not the meaning they're trying to get across.

I don't mind seeing "ghey" so much since that is obviously slang. But I agree that there is an inexplicable proliferation of "gay" lately. I mean that was an "insult" we used when I was 8 years old before we knew any better words.

At the risk of being flamed, I agree completely with you munckee! Imagine, human beings being treated with respect. Great concept.
if and when you find that utopia, then i'll stop using slangs like "gay", "fag", "pussy", "dick", etc.

I use "gay" all the time. Started in High School, never left my lexicon. If somebody is offeneded by it too bad. I don't mean it as a slam of homsexuals, just a word with a double meaning for me.

By the way, about half of the gay guys I know use "gay" and "fag" and "queen" all the time. Does not offend them if I say something is gay, because they know I don't have any problem with their sexual orientation.

Saying that using the term "gay" offends everyone who is gay assumes too much.
