I had a friend in the UK whose job was to replace the film in the gatsos when they were full.

He was always getting abused, both verbally and physically whilst doing his job

He didnt mind me laughing at him....he got paid shedloads too!!! Still I guess you have to be wouldnt you?!

THANKS ALL!!!!

I just had to find this out for myself.

A couple of months ago I found out for the first time how bad it was in England. So I made a promise to a friend from there that I would never complain about high gas prices.

Its been about 4-5 months and just now gas has gone up about 20-something cents..... Still no complaints from me and my four-banger.

yeah i know what you mean....being from the UK i have had it so much worse than it has ever been here....I always tell people what the he!! you complaining about when I hear people over here moaning about high gas prices....but I have to admit...its still annoying!!

I loved the fact I was coming from $7.50 a gallon to $1.50 a gallon last year....now its over $2.00.

One thing tho - the biggest difference between here and the UK - here gas prices FLUCTUATE - they will go down again sometime - not sure by how much or when but that is the case - in the UK, you make the most of it, cos they just keep rising!

You guys also forget that in Europe, everywhere they go is so close by because their countries are so tiny (most are anyway). Most of their countries are as small as most U.S. states. Here in the U.S., driving out of town takes about a few light-years to get there.

And probably 99% of that 80% is going to the "Royal" Family. Ditch that "Royal" Family already!

So why do a lot of people want liberals in govt in the US? How can people here complain about gas prices and then want to elect politicians that are for raising taxes?
