I can't see into it to determine if the discussion became political, but the topic itself not not political, it's environmental and should be kept in off-topic if that's the case. I assume it was moved to the Politics forum?

We had a global warming discussion a few weeks back with a guy who didn't know what he was talking about. When he couldn't verbalize or explain one point he responded with "I majored in this in unversity, spending 4 years covering these topics. I should know what I'm talking about here."

We all kind of looked at eachother and telepathically said "Yeah, you SHOULD know."
