Why are people in the midwest so damn fat?
I am stuck in the KC airport and bored. Looking around confirms what I notice every time I visit the midwest -- just about everyone is fat, at least a little bit and there are quite a few folks who are so fat you find yourself wondering how they accomplish the little things in life --- putting on socks, taking a dump, etc.
Am I alone here or has anyone else noticed the disproportionate number of fat and VERY fat folks in our nations mid-section?

I'd say 95% of the population is fat ranging from VERY fat to "skinny fat." Skinny fat is a someone "normal" as far as poundage goes, but if you tested their body fat it would be unhealthy.
No sympathy from me.

This brings me to another question.
I'm a healthy weight, 6' tall, 178 pounds. I'm 29 now. I notice that as I get older, the number of single girls my age declines. Now, as adults get older, they get fatter. Is it realistic to expect not to have to "marry fat"?
Seriously, I'm looking to younger girls because there just are not many my age that I consider "dateable". I'm pretty successful, make good money, etc. I'm a "good on paper" guy
(remember good on paper=bad in bed from Samantha in sex and the city).

The CDC has a bunch of stuff on this. See http://www.cdc.gov/nccdphp/dnpa/obes...d/prev_reg.htm
Colorado is still the skinniest state, and Mississippi the fattest.

Actually majority of the people in the U.S are fat. With the exception of Miami and LA of course.
this is one of the funniest threads I have ever read ...
Today at work we are discussing the possibility of getting a corporate membership at a gym. Two girls (fairly large), said they would not consider going to this gym because most of the people that go there look really fit....??
...
WTF? Then workout in your house and then, when you look presentable, you go to the gym? I never understood why people that need a little help on the sides shy away from places that are actually meant to help them with those issues....
As far as seeing FAT people at the KC airport...I have never noticed that. I have however noticed FAT people just about EVERY where I go!!!
Go to the Barcelona or Madrid airport...you will spend hours looking for fat people...scary
