so as i went over my grades i got a B in Geography, C in Sociology, A in english and C+ IN SPeech. i was shocked about my speech grade because i did good on everything which when i did the math came to over an 80 which is a B so i sent him an e-mail to explain why i got this grade and he sent me this below..... he took off 5 points because i had 8 freaking absents the whole semester. those 5 little points makes a big difference and i even talk to him before i had my final and he told me there should be some "wiggle" room cause i only had 7 when i asked him that. I missed one more cause i freaking had so much court dates like every 4 weeks. and it was in the morning. But since he submitted the grades i doubt hell change them cause they were due Monday. Do you guys think this is worth arguing about with the dean. The assistant dean was my teacher and hes pretty cool with me but i want your guys input first before i might embarrassed my self. i mean i have some paper work that proves i had a lot of court also. thanks

oh yeah your allowed to miss six or seven in that class but i lost my syllabus that said how much your allowed to miss class but i'm pretty sure its 7

 

So...

you're allowed to miss 7 days...
you missed 8...
you got points deducted for missing too many days...
and you think he should bend the rules for you?

well its weird cause i confronted him about my absents, and he told me i wasnt doing that bad and all that. a girl in my class was sick for over a week and a half she got a dr note, and she got excused. i missed at least 5 classes cause of court and have proof to show it. i never told him about my court dates until today when i sent him a e-mail. he told me i should be ok with my absents when i had 7. so basically i missed one more cause of a court date. im not saying he dosent have the right to deduct points but he told me i should be ok when i had 7 now i had 8 cause of my last court date in may. i wast just thinking whats the point of him say i have wiggle room when i had 7 cause your allowed 7 therefore to have 8 that makes room to wiggle lol . he used the word wiggle.
