Reliabilty. I ragged on my s2000 and drove the living shit out of it everyday for 4 years straight before it took a poop on me! 116,000 miles....26,000 turboed before it spun a main bearing! And i think it only did that bc of the clutch. Plus parts arent stupidly expensive. And working on then isnt that hard.
I love Honda because ALL of their cars are more fun to drive than their rival vehicles.
I owned a Miata and Celica and loved both of them- but my S2000 and Prelude top both of them easily.
You compare any like cars- Accord to Camry, Civic to Corolla, ect, ect.... Honda is always the drivers car.
Honda makes cars that run forever plus are fun to drive. Toyota makes reliable cars that are ugly as sin, and Mazda makes somewhat sporty cars that have really odd seating positions and seem under-developed.

+1 for Honda being the "driver's choice." My Civic got me to pay attention to driving as an art, and my S2000 takes it to a whole other level.
Plus, as has been mentioned already, they're reliable as hell, efficient and well-engineered, and stylish.

I had an '88 mazda 929 (maroon on the inside, maroon on the outside, bleh) that was on its third engine at a 120k miles, when the second gear started to burn out

what love about honda?
they'll put more engineering in a lug nut, than the big three put into a whole car
