I am not sure if they still do this, but there used to be a draw every year here in Australia where each lottery ticket was $200 (US$100), but the prize was a supercar. Once I remember they had a Diablo as a prize, next year a 930, Ferrari 355 too I think. They only had 2000 tickets ... so your chances were 1 in 2000 ... not too bad

This one is selling 20,000 tickets at $10 each. You get a free ticket if you give them the names of 5 of your friends (or 5 of your old email addresses...). I bought a ticket, just like I buy a ticket every year for a charity Jaguar drawing for $75. Too bad this one isn't for charity.

Hope somebody on this board wins!

If anyone here gets Auto Week magazine (U.S.), they usually have about 1/2 dozen of these raffles each week. Seems to be quite popular lately.

These used to have the little clause "no purchase necessary", but it appears they have changed... some guys would just request tickets for free "although that defeats the purpose".....

If i win, i will gladly pay you for the ticket, but until then....please send me a free ticket.

A guy i worked with Joe Russo...actually freaking won a yellow corvette convertible off of a $50 ticket!!!!

had to pay sales tax, plus income tax on the $40k or so (1994ish).....he drove it for about 2 years then sold it.

perhaps since they're based in UK and under jurisdiction of UK laws they get around the "no purchase necessary" clause. noticed that when i read the fine print

I don't know about you guys, but I would sacrifice my first-born for a Modena.
