Windows 2000 Pro Users: A question on DVD playback.
Well, my mom has just recently upgraded to Win 2k Pro and during that time in the middle, she seems to have lost the DVD viewing capablity because it has lost the drivers. I was wondering if there are any DVD media viewers that are downloadable and free? Thanks!

Try running a search here http://www.download.com for DVD player. I'm sure you'll find something.
Another thing: You said that the drivers cannot be found.
Using the Make, model # and serial # of your DVD rom, you can find the drivers for it here: http://www.driverguide.com .

It should have all of the drivers you will need for your Sony Notebook and Windows 2000.
