Windows 7
It sounds like a Microsoft did a good job debugging the flaws of Vista:

Unfortunately, I just got my new PC with Vista. However, from the article:
"The system for upgrading is complicated, but Vista owners can upgrade to the exactly comparable edition of Windows 7 while keeping all files, settings and programs in place."
Does this mean I can run all my programs that I'm running (like games), and anti-virus software etc. after I upgrade to Windows 7? I'd hate to buy the same programs just because I want to switch to Window 7 ?

If you go to the Windows home page they have a compatibiltiy software program. It tells you what will and won't work when going from one OS to another for both hardware and software.

vista was never that bad, hating it was a fad, much like hating kanye west (except west really is an idiot).
I am looking forward to 7 and might see if I can obtain a copy via college contacts (student copy ftw = same but cheaper)

Yeah I've been running 7 for a lot of months now as well and it's huuugely improved over Vista.
For the software and drivers I use that aren't Windows 7 compatible, I've had great success running them in Windows Vista Compatibility Mode. This includes the driver and application for my HP All In One.
