Default Winter Beater
I am thinking about getting a beater car for the winter so I don't have to deal with my s2k in the snow. Does anyone have any suggestions as to what car I should get? It would have to be FWD or AWD and I'm only looking to spend 500-1000 dollars. Thanks

Actually I could go a little over my 1000 dollar limit if I had to.

an old Civic or CRX for that money. You might be able to pull of a Eclipse turbo in the high mileage variety but probably not AWD.

look around for high mileage honda Civic or CRX....like 150,000 miles plus.
