Default WinXP Pro - MP3 file view question

I'm using Intervideo WinRip to rip some CD's, and unfortnatley there isn't the ability to name the track with the track number first (01_track_title.mp3). So, in the folder view in WindowsXP Pro, each track ends up being listed alphabetically.

There IS a Windows contextual menu when I right click in a folder full of MP3's that allows me "sort by track number", so the track number info IS getting transfered with the title.

So here is my question, does anyone know how to make the default folder view "track number" instead of "track name" under XP Pro?

I can sort each folder but it's a real pain to do each one before I transfer the folders to a MP3 player. I know there is an easier way!

Thanks -

In Explorer, one of the columns in Detail view is Track Number. You can drag that column heading to the first or second column, order by track number, and close the folder. The next time you open that folder, it should display the files by track order, with the track number column where you left it. The only problem is, not every file is going to have a track number, so it might not work as you expect. And keep in mind, just because there is an option to sort by track number doesn't mean there is any track number data associated with any file, it is just a default option. Also, where track number data is present, if you have more than one album in a folder, all the tracks will be mixed up, with all the track 1's together, followed by the second tracks of all the albums, etc.
