wisdom tooth.
ahhh, my damn wisdom tooth poped out. its making its way out on the outer side wall of the gum.
the thing is do i really need to take it out>? the reason why i ask is because it dont hurt nor does it bother me.
the only way i can feel it is if i swirl my tongue around back.

The average modern day human jaw does not have adequate room for exposed wisdom teeth. They rarely, if at all, grow in straight. When still not visible, no big deal (usually) but when they emerge, they are growing and this takes a lot of the necessary ingredients like Calcium away from the other teeth. The rest of your teeth need all that stuff to maintain themselves in a healthy condition. Also, if they grow in crooked, you may get jaw malformation.
You should really consult your dentist for the final word on it. I may just be blowing smoke out my butt.

my wisdom tooth was giving me nothing but trouble...
constant inflamations....infections...
although the removal process is highly painful...at least in my case it was...it was well worth removing them.
get them out of there...who know you might be leaning towards a weight saving mod. as well!

Get them ALL out now. There is no immediate rush. The concern is for later periodontal problems (gum) as they are hard to maintain in health. Healing is better when you are younger.
As for them causing crwding of your lower teeth I do not buy it . There are studies that show the teeth crowd as you get older even in people with congential (are missing these teeth from birth) missing teeth.
As you do not need them, I would get them out. If you just get one out and if the other one comes in (the one on top or on the bottom of the same side) it can cause you other bite problems.

My upper one are fine, but the lower two grew out almost parallel to my gum.
My gun had to be partially cut open and parts of the jaw had to be grinded down before the acutal removal of my teeth. After all that work they just jammed something into the teeth and pulled them vertical, then out.
I'm not going to tell it was painful as hell, that way you won't be so scared when you pay your dentist a visit.

@ 56 still have all 4. Various dentists over the years have wanted to pull them. While they are slighty impacted (slanted out) they are in good shape. I feel that this is just a way to create more billings. This is just a laymans opinion.
At this point I have a "laissez faire" attitude with them....they don't bother me and I won't bother them.
