Default "Working from home"

That is what I am doing.

The sickness is spreading around the office, I got it. I didn't go in yesterday at all. Today I went in, poured myself a cup of coffee and transferred some files out onto the network so I could work from home.

I am now "working" at home.

I "work from home" every now and then. It's excellent if you need to "catch up" on important "work related" tasks.

You should send an e-mail to everybody in the company to let them know that you're Working From Home. That's what people do in my company. I get e-mails from people that I don't even know, and they're letting me know that they're working from home.

my rule is, do an hour or two of real work (tops) and just make sure you send or respond to an email every once in awhile throughout the day. You always seem productive that way.

The key is, you have to send at least one extra early e-mail and one extra late e-mail and ensure your boss is copied on it. That way it looks like you worked extra hours.
