Funny how everyone with a job yearns to stay home while thousands without work are desperate for somewhere to go in the morning.
I don't think those people are actually desperate for somewhere to go... I think they're desperate for the paycheck. If they were getting paid, I'm sure they'd be happy to sit on their ass at home, just like everybody that's "working from home."

I only work from home on occasion, but I could most days if I wanted to. The benefit of having your boss 3000 miles away and all of my reports spread out over North, Central and South America.

My system is a little more advanced. I create the emails and setup an agent to send them at key times throughout the day. I send a couple out before I even wake, at least one after 7PM.

I have another email agent that sends me a txt with the first few lines of the email when certain individuals send me an email and I am not at the PC or logged on. If the message looks important I fire up the laptop, using the Verizon card when not at home or near a wifi spot, and reply. My office phone calls me if someone leaves a message, which also allows me to dial back the caller making it appear that I am calling from my desk.

Only time I got caught was when I called my boss back and he heard the distinct ping of a driver teeing off. Fortunately he believes golf is a justified business excersise.

Very nice setup sir. To that.

I just "finished" working for the day. Long day for me! I got tuckered out at 10am when I came back home, napped until 2pm... Then was able to finally be productive.. sort of.

I am 22 years old and work hard to be where I am. I go to school full time at night and on the weekends as well as work full time as an IS Admin.

I work hard to be an asset to the company I work for and not just a number. I am able to do my job just as well in my pajamas sitting on my bed at home as I am sitting in the office.

Don't hate.

My last "real" job before I moved west allowed me to work from home often. I loved it because I would send e-mails while watching Cash Cab or something. I hated it at the time believe it or not but would kill to have that job back now.

Best thing about working from home: No piss on the toilet seat!

Dude working from home is awesome, I get to do it as well.

The only problem is that for some people the transition is a little tough and they squander time without having someone watch over them. For the first 6 months I was doing this a bit but now I manage time well and I get to go plant a tomato plant at 10am, walk the dogs when I want, go to the shops when I want.
