MC- i am a part time personal trainer. And if your training for running, then just stick to running, weight training will not help. Althought doing alot of stretches periodically, especially lower body will help.

Using weighted exercises for your legs you mean? A combination of both would be best - the running would work both your leg muscles and endurance, and weight training builds the muscle.

Id prolly have to talk to some runners...im wondering if added bulk/weight would be postive or just even out postive and negatives?

light weight high rep prolly the best...hmm...now to find out what exercises are good..
