many countries around the world have made public statements of condemnation, condolence, etc. regarding the attack (GB, Russia, Germany, N. Korea, Japan, etc., etc.). Basically, showing their support for the U.S.

Has Iraq made any statements?

Why do I sympathize with thought like this?

I am disgusted and outraged by this peace-time attack on a democratic nation.

I think we should hit every known terrorist camp in the Middle East with every aircraft and cruise missile we've got. If someone like Syria doesn't like us violating its airspace, guess what, we'll have the Tennessee, Alaska, and Alabama parked in the Indian Ocean in 100 feet of water. Each boat (That's how they refer to subs) has 24-32 Trident IIs, each with 10 MIRV superaccurate D5 warheads, retargeted, gyros screwed down. Just say the word Syria, and you will cease to exist (just like WTC).

What the heck is wrong with you?? where and how does Syria come into this?? I do not recall a single terrorist attack on the US that Syria was responsible for.

I happen to be Syrian, what you said was extremely rude, un-educated, improper and pathetic. Say the word Syria and you will cease to exist????? what is that a threat???

I pitty you, you live the in most powerful country in the world (most free and open minded let me add) yet you seem to be the most un-educated and closed minded individual I've even come accross.

I will not be responding to any more of your posts, you are not the type on mentality I would like to accociate with. Thank God that most members here are not like you.

Relax Shamma, it's ok! This is a time for compassion not arguments. I think that raptor really didn't think about what he was saying and it was sure out of anger and hatred. Anger brings out the worst in people.

Syrian or not it makes no diffrence to me. It's what you believe in your heart that counts with me. If you hold dear in your heart the sanctity of life and the freedom that almighty God has given to us then, we are as one standing togather. Let's please stand togather in this and not apart. We say stupid things when we are angry and this was a stupid thing to say! Remember to," Err is human, to Forgive Divine!" Let us not condemn one another but support one another!

I can feel your alienation and anxiety through your words. Please, don't believe that we all are this way. We have not forgotten the lessons of WWII and of our Japanese american brothers. This won't happen again. Don't be afraid of stupid warmongers and people of little understanding and caring. Their reward is hell and it's eternal damnation. I'm right here with you bro don't worry or be afraid!!

You have nothing to prove to me, nothing! I promise you that it won't happen again!

Jeff

Shamma 1977-

Syria is occupying Lebanon, and funding and physically supporting Hesbollah attacks on Northern Israel. Syria harbors, funds, and supports terrorist training camps in Syria and the Bekaa Valley in Lebanon. Syria attacked Israel 1967 and in 1972. Syria funded and supported Amal and Islamic Jihad skyjackings. Syria is technically at war with Israel. Israel is one of our most loyal allies. Haffez Assad was a dictator who terrorized his own people. I don't see Bashir Assad changing that tune much. Syria refuses to negotiate peace with Israel because it doesn't want peace.

I feel we should strike all Mideast terrorist camps, some of which are in Syria.

I have 2 masters degrees. How about you?

I'll make you a deal: you don't respond to my posts and I won't respond to yours.

Tanqueray

What I was trying to pint out is that we all have different morals and beliefs (even within a given country/society). Some people obviously think that we got what we deserved and that terrorism is justified because that is the only way they can strike at the "big US bully". Some people would also say that the US has used the same tactics or worse throughout our history. Who is right or wrong? With this in mind and if we are truly the evolved society we think we are, we need to be very careful at whom we point the finger of blame and why we point it there. But when the responsible people are found...may God have mercy on their souls...because we won't.
