Question worst crash ever!

WATCH FIRST:
http://media.skoopy.com/vids/vid_00630.wmv

THEN READ:
I watched this probably 20+ times and my roommate and I tried to break down what exactly happend. Any ideas?

Our guess was the van was broken down and left on the highway because when it gets hit, the car alarm goes off. The mustang that hits it is drunk because the van is in the breakdown lane, and no possible attempt was made to stop because of the size of the impact.

And everyone else just gets involves because its LA highway and they drive like shiet there anyway.

If you look closely futher along in the video, you will notice that the left most lane was a CARPOOL lane, and not a breakdown lane. That van was just sitting in it, which is why the Mustang hit it at full speed.

That was insane! I am curious about how the video was filmed and why so many additional people were involved.

it looks like the ground was wet from rain which made it harder for cars to stop and probably see in the first place. yeah, it's kinda weird that there was a video camera on the spot. most likely it was the guys from the van that was filming. also, i notice red cones all over the place. wonder what THAT's all about??

seemed pretty odd to have that van parked there....plus those dicks with the camera and flood lights probably distracted the hell out of anyone coming at them and didn't pay attention to the wrecks ahead.

the camera guys should definately have tried to stop the wrecks instead of filming and doing nothing.

It almost seems like it was a set up, as sick as that is to say. Just seems odd that the camera was trained on the van and seconds later it gets hit. Then the jackass has the nerve to continue shooting other cars getting involved. Something just doesn't seem right. Just my opnion.
